6 Snowflakes Notecard

from $6.00

Just look at these lovely snowflake notecards! They’re flat and measure 4.25" x 5".

These beauties are printed on Lettra 220 cotton paper, it's double thick and so nice to write on. These unique notecards are printed with a blind impression, which means that they were impressed with a plate that didn't have any ink on it. The result is elegant but not too in your face about it, you know? These cards feature 6 larger snowflakes and we also have a suite of notecards with 12 smaller snowflakes.

You should know, these are not just any snowflakes. These snowflake images are based on the very first known snowflakes captured on film by the farmer and hobby photographer Wilson Bentley. His first snowflakes were captured on January 15, 1885 and the ones in our notecards were believed to be captured in 1902. There's a little bit of a controversy around his technique, check him out.
